Shri Shivaji Education Society, Amravati (India) is a registered public charitable trust. It has started Dr. Panjabrao alias Bhausaheb Deshmukh Memorial Medical College, Amravati from August 1984 and Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Hospital since 1990.

24 hrs. Delivery Facility, Colposcopy, N.S.T., Seperate U.S.G.,L.S.C.S., M.T.P., Tubectomy, Hysterctomy and Laparoscopic surgeries.

 

Department of Orthopedic : Dr. G.N. Pundkar, M.S. 1984 (Head, Deptt. of Orthopedic)

Center for all major and minor orthopedic surgeries including joint replacement, cloased Nailing & Orthopedic surgery, spinal surgery. C-Arm and other modern instruments are available. It also has a separate physiotherapy and rehabilitation section.

 

Department of Pediatrics : Dr. R. H. Nistane, (Asso. Prof. & H.O.D.)

Incubator, Phototherapy, Newborn I.C.U. Immunization on every Thursday, Medical checkup of students and rural children, including regular diagnostic camps.

 

Department of Ophthalmology : Dr. S. K. Kadu, (Prof. & H.O.D.)

Correction of refraction, A-scan sonography, cataract, glaucoma, squints, ptosis operations are done including microsurgical facilities. It includes a Autorefraction and Autokeratometry unit with orthoptic training and regular contact lens fitting facilities. The department conducts regular intracular lens implant surgery and has has extended facilities of ND-YAG Laser and CT scan and phaco surgery unit in the district hospital section.

 

Department of E.N.T. : Dr. B.D. Belsare, M.S. 1982 (Prof. & H.O.D.)

The facilities include Audiometry, E.N.G., Tympanoplasty, Stapedectomy Tonsillectomy and Bronchoscopy etc.

 

Department of Skin & V.D. : Dr. S.N. Agrawal, M.D / D.N.V. 1997 (Asso. Prof. )

The facilities include Leucoderma, Leprosy and skin disorder treatment with special emphasis on surgical management of leucoderma and non-surgical management of warts etc. There are speciality clinics in Pediatric dermatology, Dermatosurgery and medical cosmetology.

 

Department of Clinical Pathology :

All pathological routine and specialized tests are done with the help of modern electronic instruments such as Elisa reader, computerized C.B.C., S.L.E. test, anaerobic culture facility available.

 

Department of Clinical Biochemistry :

All biochemical tests and electrolyte analysis, Modern radio immuno assays, harmon. studies done. Modern fully automated.

 

Department of Clinical Microbiology :

Anaerobic culture, Elelectrophoresis, Sputum and K.L.B. culture, Drug Sensitivity test, Culture and sensitivity are done on regular basis.

It provides E.C.T. and E.E.G. facility, children counseling centre runs every Thursday between 11.00 am. to 12.30 am.

 

Department of Community Medicine Dr. V.R. Lunge, (Professor)

Immunization clinic every Thursday during O.P.D. hrs. Organization of preventive and diagnostic camps. Celebration of World and National health days. The department provides urban and rural health center training to MBBS students and health services to the community on regular basis.

 

Department of Dentistry : All Dental problems are treated with modern facilities.

 

Department of Clinical Microbiology :

Anaerobic culture, Elelectrophoresis, Sputum and K.L.B. culture, Drug Sensitivity test, Culture and sensitivity are done on regular basis.

Department of Pediatrics :
Well equipped 8 beded level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) with Neonatal ventilator, Radient heat warmers, double surface phototherephy as well as well equipped Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.

Following facilities are provided :

1. All immunisation on every day.
2. There are speciality clinic like well baby clinic, Inalassenia clinic, child guidence clinic and clinic for handicapped children, Childern Adolescence care unit.
3. Medical check up for students and rural children including regular diagnosys camp.
 

Blood Bank :

Facilities are available 24 hrs. for all days. H.I.V. tests are done. Whole blood and blood comonent (R.B.C.) Packed cells, Platelets etc. are issued day and night. Blood donation camps are conducted in and near by towns of frequent intervals. Students are encouraged to participate in such activities with incentives given.

Annual Member of Swasth Seva Yojana : Rs. 200/- per year is annual membership. Member is charged 50% for investigations and indoor expenditure. No concession in operative charges.

 

Family Membership of Swasth Seva Yojana : Every year Rs. 500/- are charged. Any five members of family are entitled for 50%  concession as described above.

 

Preoperative examination check up package : Rs 150/- include TLC, DLC, ESR, BTCT Uri routine, blood typing, blood sugar tasting, serum creative, ECG and physician fitness opinion.

 

Student Health Check Up : Student of primary, middle school, high school and college examined yearly. E.N.T.skin, dental refraction, eye examination and pediatric examination done.
